SIYANA KOTECHA

Aspiring Student Chef 11-13

Siyana Kotecha, 13, cooked her way to win the 11-13 age category of the 2021-22 Inspiring Culinary Generations' Aspiring Student Chefs.

 

She has secured the opportunity to take up the sponsored three-year Specialised Chefs Scholarship with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts managed by Bournemouth & Poole College. Siyana also won cookware and £200.​

Siyana fell in love with cooking at the age of 6 and takes inspiration from her Indian heritage. Siyana said ' It was great to work in a professional kitchen, this has been a fantastic opportunity and all the other chefs did so well!'

FREDDIE ROYSTON

Aspiring Student Chef 14-16

Freddie wowed the judges with his Venison with a celeriac & turnip puree, stout reduction, red wine reduction, toasted seeds, wild mushrooms, pickled radishes & blackberries, fried Jerusalem artichoke crisps, all garnished with pea shoot & red sorrel leaves.

Winning the 14-16 age category of the 2021-22 Inspiring Culinary Generations' Aspiring Student Chefs, he has also secured the opportunity to take up the sponsored three-year Specialised Chefs Scholarship with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts managed by Bournemouth & Poole College, along with a £200 cash prize and cookware.

ALANI COOK

Aspiring Student Chef 16-18

Alani amazed our judges this year with fantastic flavours and textures whilst showing serious skills, having only made the dish once before.

Alani has secured the opportunity to take up the sponsored three-year Specialised Chefs Scholarship with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts managed by Bournemouth & Poole College, along with a £500 cash prize and cookware.​

"I had an idea for what I wanted to create and with some research and advice I’ve produced a dish I’ve never cooked before which I’m proud of as it has flavour and textures and I’ve been able to show many techniques and skills with this dish."
