Keen Family Cooks

IN ORDER TO APPLY YOU MUST:

• Team is to be made up of one under 18 and one over 18 at the time of the National Final.

• Over 18 is to be the parent, grandparent or guardian of the under 18 participant.

• Be a resident in the UK (including the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland)
.

• Never have worked as a full-time baker, cook or chef.

• Not have an income that is mainly made up from commercial baking in a professional environment (restaurant, hotel, canteen, bakery, shops, etc).

• Be able to commit to the date of the Finals, held at the Waitrose Cookery School on Wednesday 27th January 2021.*

• Accept that all content generated during the course of the competition including video, recipes and images to be used for promotional purposes.

• Only completed entries will be accepted and stock imagery will not be accepted.

Aspiring Student Chefs

IN ORDER TO APPLY YOU MUST:

• Be in the academic year or equivalent 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 at the time of the National Final.

• Be a resident in the UK (including the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland)
.

• Never have worked as a full-time baker, cook or chef.

• Not have an income that is mainly made up from commercial baking in a professional environment (restaurant, hotel, canteen, bakery, shops, etc).

• Be able to commit to the date of the Finals, held at the Bournemouth & Poole College on Friday 29th January 2021 and at the Waitrose Cookery School on Wednesday 27th January 2021.*

• Accept that all content generated during the course of the competition including video, recipes and images to be used for promotional purposes.

• Only completed entries will be accepted and stock imagery will not be accepted.

Keen Home Cooks

IN ORDER TO APPLY YOU MUST:

• Be aged 19 years or above on the date of the National Final.

• Be a resident in the UK (including the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland)

• Never have worked as a full-time baker, cook or chef

• Not have an income that is mainly made up from commercial baking in a professional environment (restaurant, hotel, canteen, bakery, shops, etc)

• Not have any catering NVQ or other qualification in baking, cooking, food production, food preparation or catering unless acquired over 10 years ago

• Be able to commit to the date of the Final, held at the Waitrose Cookery School, London on Wednesday 27th January 2021.*

• Accept that all content generated during the course of the competition including video, recipes and images to be used for promotional purposes.

The Prizes

The Three Year Specialised Chefs Scholarship.

It is the sole responsibility of Judges from the Bournemouth and Poole College to make the decision of any winners of the scholarship and may require individuals to attend an interview before formally deciding whether the course is suitable. At that time judges are within their rights to withdraw the offer with the best interests of the candidate in mind.

The Decision of the Winner

The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

There is no cash alternative to the prize offered.
